Asset Management Plan

Public Services are invariably delivered directly or indirectly from land and buildings. The property portfolio of public organisations has to be right for people – for staff and customers – and for the processes necessary to deliver products and services.  The Use of Resources Guidance for Councils, measured by the Audit Commission, suggests that an Asset Management Plan should show how the Council’s land and buildings should be used and developed to help deliver corporate priorities and services.  East Devon District Council has therefore produced this plan, linked to the vision and priorities of the Council, to provide a blueprint for the effective and efficient use of the Council’s assets for the benefit of the residents of East Devon.
