1. Exmouth beach

Blue flag winning Exmouth Beach is a short walk from the town centre and extends for near two miles from the mouth of the Exe in the west to Orcombe point in the east.  Long and sandy  the beach is perfect for a range of activities, from family holidays through to watersports adventures

  • The beach is lifeguarded during the summer season only
  • There is an area where the River Exe runs close to the beach… bathing is not permitted in this area for your safety (clearly indicated by large signs) 
  • For the safety of swimmers, there is a powered craft exclusion zone between Orcombe Point and Maer Rocks which is marked by yellow buoys.
  • You're not allowed to light an open fire on the beach.
