Local Development Framework Consultation Portal Information Page

The Council has a new consultation portal which will enable you to register your interest in documents making up the Local Development Framework. You will be able to register, view full details of current consultations and complete interactive response forms through the consultation portal.

The consultation portal has many intuitive and user-friendly features, some of which are listed below:

  • Self-management of your personal account.
  • Comments boxes within or adjacent the text so that you can refer to the the text as you input your comment or questionnaires or survey forms to complete.
  • A save facility which enables you to save your comments in draft so that you can go back to them, change them and then submit them only when you're happy with them.
  • At-a-glance review the status of your account and comments.
  • View consultation events including documents, polls, surveys, questionnaires, forums and bulletin boards.

The LDF Panel

The LDF Panel will meet throughout the summer months and will consider content and policy in future plans.  The public, organisations and agents are welcome to attend Panel meetings and can make verbal presentations to the panel.  Verbal presentations are, however, to expand on written evidence that has been submitted to the Panel.  The procedure for written and verbal evidence presentation is:

1.Evidence is to be presented in response to a specific agenda item (a schedule of future Panel meetings and agenda items is set out below along with deadlines for submissions).

2.Written evidence must be sent to Democratic Services to arrive at the latest on the Thursday prior to the Panel Meeting but ideally at least seven clear full days before the Panel meeting (please send to hwhitfield@eastdevon.gov.uk in Democratic Services).

3.Written evidence will be posted on the Council’s web site alongside papers produced by the Council.

4.That in presenting verbal evidence to the Panel anyone making a case will be able to also critically review the case/evidence presented in Council papers (or in other speakers papers).  Also any papers submitted will be open for Council critique.
