Wet and Wild Weekend

After a spate of wet and wild weather we were hoping that our weekend on Seaton Marshes Local Nature Reserve wouldn't be the wrong type of wet and the wrong type of wild. Fortunately our fears were unfounded and we had three days of uninterrupted pond dipping, bird watching and quiz trail following as well as events such as a fishing competition in the never-fished-before Borrow Pit, making dragonflies from willow and learning survival skills. Countryside Service staff took the chance to find out what people would like to see happen in the future as the Local Nature Reserve grows as part of the Axe Wetland Project.
