Alternative options are being considered but it means the target is unlikely to be met. (SA)
BV204 (mon) Planning Appeals Planning  Monthly  Percentage  Average to date  Kate Little  25.00  37.50  -50.00%  In October we received 10 dismissed appeals decisions, 4 appeals were allowed, 1 split decision which counts as an allowed decision and 1 withdrawn case. Thus 5 out of 15 appeal decisions were allowed. Of the allowed appeals 3 were Delegated refusals (one case where the Inspector overturned a previous Inspector's decision) 1 was a DC cttee decision against Officer advice and the split decision (for adverts) reflected the DC cttee decision. BV11b (mon) Top 5% of Earners: Ethnic Minorities Org Dev  Monthly  Percentage  Last Period Value  Sarah Bolt  3.50  4.07  +16.29%  The target is aspirational due to the low black and ethnic representation in the district. We have an Equality and Diversity Policy which ensures that all positions are advertised externally. For senior positions, advertisments are national and a generous relocation package is offered. Additionally, all vacant posts for which we are recruiting are placed on our website. We have also developed a Core Management Development Programme to ensure team leaders and above are appropriately developed. This will help facilitate more internal promotion. The only step that we have not yet taken is to advertise in specific ethnic publications and this is something we can consider in the future. (SA)
