Devon Warm Zones & Cosy Devon

NEWS: Since 5th of October Devon Warm Zones has become Cosy Devon. It is only the name that has changed so residents will still be able to benefit from the great deals on loft and cavity wall insulation by calling 0800 512012. A new website, www.cosydevon.co.uk is up and running, so please have a look!

This year East Devon District Council launched its Warm Zone.  The three year project aims to help households across the region cut their fuel bills, reduce carbon emissions and improve their health, through the use of energy efficiency measures.  Delivered by Westcounty Energy Action, the programme will initially be targeted in the Exmouth area, rolling out to the rest of East Devon in 2009. The programme aims to raise awareness of the grants and discounts on energy efficiency products and services available to households across East Devon, as well as giving out advice to help people to reduce their energy consumption.  It is hoped that with this advice and support households could be helped to reduce their energy bills by up to a third.

East Devon District Council’s Environmental Health Housing team is currently looking to recruit partners to help reach households in need of insulation measures and they will be staging a number of talks and events over the coming year.

More information about the Cosy Devon is available from Energy Action Devon on Freephone 0800 512012 or at www.energyactiondevon.org.uk
