Welcome to Customer Services at East Devon
Our advisors are often the first people you speak to at the Council. They answer calls at our Customer Service Centre and welcome people to our reception points at the Knowle.
In the Customer Service Centre we aim to answer all enquiries without passing you on to other officers in the Council. On occasion it may be necessary to refer you to a more technical expert who will resolve your matter as swiftly as possible.
We encompass all face to face contact at the main front reception desk and all telephone enquiries that are presented through our main switchboard and other service areas which are contacted by the direct dial numbers.
In the last year we greeted in excess of 20,000 visitors to our main reception area and dealt with their enquiries. We also answered in excess of 240,000 telephone enquiries.
It really doesn’t matter if you call the main switchboard number or any other number you may have for contact we will deal with your enquiry straight away.
We also carry out a brief telephone survey to a selection of customers to ensure the service we have provided to you is satisfactory. This also helps us identify any gaps the Council has and allows us to work on solutions to overcome any issues.
