Reaching Communities

The Big Lottery Fund has now launched its first demand-led programme, Reaching Communities. Funding is available to help improve local communities and the lives of people most in need.

Grants are between £10,001 and £500,000 for up to five years on a full cost recovery basis. The maximum overall project size can be up to £750,000.

To secure a grant you have to show you are responding to the needs of your community. Essentially, applicants needs to show how the community has been involved in the design of the project and how it will be involved in the delivery of the project.

Organisations that can apply include registered charities, other voluntary and community groups, statutory bodies (including schools), charitable or not-for-profit companies and social enterprises.
