Skills For Life

Free courses and qualifications, from complete beginner up to GCSE are available in all Devon Adult and Community Learning centres. These courses could help you improve your maths, reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.

Would you like to improve your Literacy skills?

  • read the newspaper better
  • understand formal letters
  • prepare for a job interview
  • feel more confident about your spelling

Would you like to improve your Language skills?

  • improve your grammar

  • understand fractions and percentages
  • help children with their schoolwork

Do you need a short course to refresh your skills in literacy or numeracy?

Devon Adult and Community Learning offer "Move On" courses at all adult education centres to prepare you for the new National Tests at Level 1 and Level 2. Fast track to National Tests are also offered.
