Information about the Arts Centre
The Arts Centre is situated next to the Manor Pavilion Theatre at the Junction of Manor Road and Station Road. Its main entrance is from Station Road.
The Arts Centre comprises a suite of rooms, with the main room accommodating up to 80 persons seated. Toilets and cloakrooms are situated off the foyer. The main room has tables, chairs, an upright piano and two projector screens.
There are facilities for preparing drinks and washing up, a storeroom and a further small room.
The Arts Centre is ideal for meetings, educational classes, lectures, exhibitions and a range of social functions.

Council Chamber/Committee Room, Knowle, Council Offices, Sidmouth
The function rooms at the Knowle are available for hire outside normal office opening times.
The historic East Devon District Council Offices are set in 16 acres of beautiful parkland at Knowle Sidmouth overlooking Lyme Bay. The grounds overlooking the sea make an ideal photographic background. The lawns, shrubs and trees are maintained throughout the season by the Council’s award winning gardeners.Built originally as a gentleman’s residence and later enlarged as a hotel, the Council buildings have dominating views southwards.
Available to you are the Council Chamber the Committee Room and kitchen. Car parking is freely available, and there is a generous turning area outside the main double doors. The capacity in the Council Chamber cannot exceed 200 when hired separately. However the capacity is 240 when the Council Chamber and Committee Room are hired together. The seating capacity cannot exceed 120 for the Council Chamber or 40 for the Committee Room. If hiring the Council Chamber the hirer has the use of the kitchen facilities which comes within the price and consists of the of the oven, warming cabinets, double sink and well stocked cupboards of cutlery and crockery which is sited close to the Council Chamber.
The civic suite is at ground level and all facilities are easily accessible for wheelchair users,
The letting periods are:-
Morning - 8-30 to 1.00pm
Afternoon - 1.00pm to 5.00pm
Evening 5pm to Midnight on weekdays and 11.45 on Saturdays

A provisional booking can be made on your behalf. Application forms can be obtained via this web site, printed off and forwarded to Mrs D Kelly at the main Reception duly signed. Alternatively, please contact us and we will forward an application pack to you for completion and return. On receipt of your application, it will be processed and acknowledged.
Information about the Mackarness Hall, Hontion
The Mackarness Hall at Honiton is an attractive functional venue, centrally located on the town’s High Street next to St Paul’s Church. There is a maximum seating capacity of 150 or 238 standing. The auditorium is an open area, which allows for flexible use of its space. There is a small sized stage, which is accessed via one set of steps on the left-hand side.
The venue is well stocked with collapsable medium sized tables finished in melamine, which are suitable for light use. A well-fitted kitchen leads off the main hall and provides a six-burner range, warming ovens and two sinks with crockery supplied. It is suitable for serving light meals and refreshments, having a large counter to the main hall.
The facilities are all at ground level, the toilets are situated off the entrance foyer, however please note the toilets are not accessible to wheelchair users.

Manor Pavilion Theatre, Sidmouth
Information about the Manor Pavilion Theatre
The Manor Pavilion Theatre at Sidmouth is an attractive, intimate venue with maximum seating capacity of 282 seats. An orchestra can be accommodated in a small pit, normally covered, with the loss of 28 seats from the first two rows. The auditorium has fixed tiered seating with the exception of the first 6 rows which is flat and seating not fixed.
There is a good sized, slightly raked stage with house curtains, tabs, legs and good stage and front of house lighting. A public address system is available if required. There are six dressing rooms on two floors with toilets, and a large scenery dock.
The theatre foyer, which can be used for displays as appropriate, has toilets, cloakrooms, a box office and public telephone and provides access to the auditorium and the lounge bar.
The lounge bar can accommodate between 50 and 60 people with tables. There is a compact kitchen supplied with crockery and a serving counter. There is also a lockable bar suitable for the sale of alcoholic beverages, subject to licence obtained by the hirer.
The lounge bar can also be hired as a separate room for meetings, parties etc, subject to availability.
An induction loop is installed in the auditorium
An audio-description service for visually impaired people, set up with National Lottery funding, is offered on the last night of performances with a week long run.

Information about Seaton Town Hall
The town hall at Seaton comprises three rooms available for hire as follows:
On the ground floor is the main foyer leading to the Main Auditorium with seating for up to 222 people, 160 people with tables. It has a built-in floating hard wood dance floor with a dancing capacity for 500 people.
The large stage is slightly raked with house curtains, tabs, legs and excellent stage and front of house lighting. An orchestra can be accommodated by taking out the first two rows of seating. There are dressing rooms behind the stage together with a small kitchen. There is a bar at the rear of the auditorium suitable for the sale of alcoholic beverages, subject to licence obtained by the hirer and a separate well fitted kitchen off the foyer with a counter to the auditorium. The kitchen is equipped with crockery and cutlery. An electronic piano is available for hire.
The Committee Room on the first floor which accommodates up to 20 people for formal meetings and up to 40 people with the tables removed.
The Upstairs Lounge situated on the first floor has tables and chairs for 25-30 people, a small kitchen with a counter which can be used as a bar.
There is a large landing on the first floor with seating and toilet facilities leading to the second floor where Seaton Museum is situated. There is no lift at the town hall.
If your booking is between 8am and 6pm, Monday – Saturday you can apply for up to 10 temporary parking permits which are valid in the car park at the rear of the town hall accessed by The Underfleet. Requests for temporary parking permits need to be mentioned on the application form.
