Environmental Health Enforcement Policy

We aim to ensure that people who have a responsibility to manage and control risks do so effectively, therefore preventing harm. To help us achieve this aim, we have adopted an Enforcement Policy to set out the general principles we will follow when dealing with businesses and individuals.

This policy will help to ensure that enforcement powers are used appropriately and hold those failing to safeguard the health, safety and welfare of the public to account. The full policy is available below.

If you have any comments you would like to make about this policy please contact the Environmental Health Service on 01395 517457 or by e-mail to environmentalhealth@eastdevon.gov.uk
