Allotments

East Devon District Council only administers allotments in Sidmouth.

There are 3 seperate sites in the town:-

Lawn Vista - bordering the Byes.
Lymebourne - bordering the Byes between Sid Park Road and Lymebourne Lane.
Peaslands - between the new Villa Bohemia development and the cemetery.

These allotments are non-statutory, or temporary, and are not covered by the Allotments Acts 1908 - 1950.

The charging period will be changed this year from 1st April-31st March to 1st October-30th September. This is to fit better with the growing season.

For 2011-2012 plots will be charged at £6.45 per 25 square metres plus £5.00 for water. Charges for 2012-2013 will be £6.70 per 25 square metres plus £5.00 for water.

At present there is at least a 4 year wait for a Plot .

If you would like to add your name to the waiting list please call Customer Services on 01395 517428 during office hours. You can add your name to an individual list or to all three lists. If you have a preferred plot location please let us know.
