Finding a Home in East Devon
East Devon District Council's Housing & Social Inclusion Service helps people with a 'housing need' in East Devon by helping them find appropriate accommodation. We also seek to create 'viable housing choices' for each person in East Devon, for example through 'affordable housing'. We work with our own housing teams, partners in the private sector, other Social Housing landlords, and housing advice agencies to improve housing provision in the District.
- If you are interested in owning your own home but cannot afford to do so on the open market then South West Homes can offer a range of affordable options to help.
- If you are already a council tenant and your housing requirements have changed so that you wish to seek alternative accommodation please see our leaflet
'Changing Your Home'. (47KB - PDF Help) - If you wish to move into a smaller council property you may be eligible for up to £1,100 to help towards the cost of your move.
For further details about moving to a smaller property please click here (47KB - PDF Help) - Information relating to the provision of affordable housing through new development is available here.
