The Cemeteries Service

The Licensing Team is part of the Central Services Directorate and is responsible for the administration of cemeteries. The office is open Monday to Friday between 09.00 and 17.00. The office will closed on bank holidays. The Licensing Team can be contacted at:

Our Commitment

  • Funerals will be arranged in accordance with any religious or secular format requested within limitations imposed by decency, time and practicality
  • Interments and scattering of ashes will be conducted in a dignified manner by competent, professional and caring staff
  • We will provide information about types and costs of graves
  • Cemeteries will be staffed by caring and competent personnel when open to the public
