Licensing Policy Consultation
Licensing Act 2003 – Licensing Policy Consultation.
The Licensing Act 2003 requires that the Licensing Authority review its Statement of Licensing Policy every three years. Our current policy will expire on the 7 January 2008 and therefore the Authority is under a duty to have reviewed and published a fresh policy by that date.
In accordance with both the Act and the guidance the Licensing Authority undertook a full consultation on the proposed changes which ended on the 9 November 2007.
All representations received within the consultation period have been noted by the Licensing & Enforcement Committee and the the Council adopted the policy at its meeting on 12 December 2007.
