Licensing Information Pages
Licensing at East Devon
The council is responsible for various licensing, regulation and enforcement services including alcohol premises, taxis, gambling, boatmen, riding establishments, animal boarding and zoos.
Several different teams within the council provide these services and you should follow the relevant link for more information and contact details.
Online Licensing - Phase Three
The council is committed to making all services available online and we are progressing with our new interactive licensing web pages. When fully developed users will be able to access information and make licensing applications on line 24 hours a day.
In the meantime, you can view the up-to-date Licensing Public Registers.
This service will provide a dedicated secure area for users and include the following functions.
Clients
A member of the public applying for new licences or with existing licences will be able to:
- create an on-line account – see portfolio management below
- make on-line applications – new applications and renewals
- monitor the progress of a submitted application and be kept up to date with progress via email updates.
- create an account to view details of all current licences held - portfolio management.
Authorised bodies/consultees
External bodies/consultees involved in the licensing process, for example Police, Fire Service, Child Protection, Trading Standards, Enforcement officers, will be able to provide:
- on-line responses – authorised bodies/consultees will be notified by email and be able to login and respond on-line
- licence validation – check the validity of a specific licence.
Note: The Licensing Manager will provide authorised bodies/consultees with security details to allow them to use the system.
