Tuesday: what can I put in each bin or box?

Green recycling box
Small and large food caddy
Black landfill bin

Green Recycling box

Paper, newspapers, magazines, Yellow pages, junk mail - no need to remove windows
Glass bottles and jars - no lids
Tins and cans - please rinse and ensure there are no sharp edges
Aerosols - empty
Textiles - clean and dry
Aluminium Foil- clean and dry please
Used household batteries - in bags supplied - please contact us should you require any more bags
Plastic bottles - Shampoo, bleach, drinks and milk bottles

Small and large food caddy

You can line the small caddy with a compostable bag or newspaper and keep indoors, please do not use plastic bags.
Once full, place contents into large food caddy and leave out on collection day to be emptied.

Food waste - comprising:
Meat and fish - raw and cooked, including bones
Uneaten food from plates and dishes
All dairy products, such as eggs and cheese
Raw and cooked vegetables and fruit
Breads, cakes and pastries
Rice, pasta and beans
Tea bags and coffee grounds

Note: Please do not put any liquids in your food caddy

Black Landfill bin

Place in your black bin anything that can not go in the recycling box or food caddy.
Note: We do not collect any waste that is not contained in the EDDC landfill bin.
