Vandalism
Streetscene is responsible for repairing vandalism to EDDC land and property. For example, street furniture, parks and gardens, public toilets and beaches .
If you come across an item or area that has been vandalised then please report it to us. We strive to attend the same day if the damage poses a risk to the public. If you come across it outside office hours then please contact Home Safeguard n 01395 578237.
EDDC is not responsible for repairing any vandalism to private property – this is the responsibility of the owner.
When contacting the call centre please take a moment to think about what you are going to say before calling. Your call is important to us but with the high volume of calls and, or, possible lack of information could result in either delayed reaction time or possibly the named problem(s) not being found.
The use of the following 5 W's can help everyone:
- Who - you are and if possible a contact telephone number
- What - is the problem
- Where - the problem is (road names and reference or prominent points reduce the time spent searching for problems)
- When - the problem was first noticed /occurred
- Which - actions, if any, you or anyone else have taken and any other relevant information
EDDC works in partnership with the local Police, should you have information that is valuable please call 08452 777444
