Concessionary Bus Travel Announcement
Responsibility for the administration of Concessionary Bus Travel in this district transferred from East Devon District Council to Devon County Council from 1st April 2011. This change has been made by the Government, under the Transport Act 2000, to reduce the number of local authorities involved with concessionary travel. Other changes include:
- From 1 April 2011 the off-peak hours are from 9.30am to the end of service Monday to Friday, and all day weekends and Bank Holidays in line with all districts in Devon.
- All East Devon National Bus Pass holders are able to continue using free off-peak travel on local buses anywhere in England.
- From 1 April 2011 any queries concerning an existing pass and all new concessionary bus pass applications must be made directly to Devon County Council, who can be contacted by the following:
