Amended plans for proposed new community go on show
AN AMENDED Outline Planning Application for the proposed new community east of Exeter has been submitted to East Devon District Council.
The East Devon New Community Partners are proposing to build 2,900 homes to meet the housing needs of Exeter and East Devon, as outlined in the Devon Structure Plan - which was adopted in October 2004.
The report of an Inspector who chaired a Local Plan Inquiry dealing specifically with issues raised by the proposed new community was received in spring 2005, and endorsed the concept of the New Community.
A name for the proposed new community - Cranbrook - was agreed at a meeting of the full Council on 23 February 2005.
The Development Partners have produced a leaflet, which has been distributed to 2,000 households in the area of the proposed community. The deadline for written comments was 31 March 2005.
The links from this page lead to the documents submitted to East Devon District Council by the applicants Hallam Land Management Ltd, Persimmon Homes (South West) Ltd, Redrow Homes (South West) Ltd, Westbury Homes (Holdings) Ltd and Taylor Woodrow Properties in support of their planning application. The information has been prepared by the developers and these documents represent amended applications, as received by East Devon District Council on 11 March 2005.
