East Devon New Community Design Workshop
New Community Design Workshop Report
A two-day workshop was held on 23rd and 24th July 2004, commisioned by East Devon
District Council and the East Devon New Community Partnership, with the intention of providing additional
information and ideas that could inform the production of supplementary design guidance for the New
Community.
Approximately 35 representatives from various stakeholder groups were invited to
attend, and included parish and district councillors, local businesses, local organisations, local authority
officers, developers and consultant design specialists.
The report from the workshop, which was run by staff from Oxford Brookes University's
Joint Centre for Urban Design, is available below in pdf format to download. The report has been broken
down into sections to limit the file sizes.
