Team Manager

With overall responsibility for the Countryside Team, its budgets and corporate direction. A Service Plan - framework for action 2004 – 2008 has been produced to guide the Team’s activities.


Information and Admin Officer

Providing organisational and administrative support for the Team. Responsible for co-ordinating community initiatives and promoting the work of the service.

Nature Reserve Officer

Responsible for the management of the Council’s LNRs, ensuring the nature conservation interest of each nature reserve is properly maintained and providing opportunities for the public to enjoy the LNRs and experience the wildlife each has to offer.

Education Ranger

Aims to promote the use of LNRs in schools and organise public events to introduce visitors to the natural history of LNRs. Also responsible for producing information publications for all of the LNRs.


David Colman
Senior Arboricultural Officer

Responsible for providing advice about tree management, protecting trees on sites to be developed and serving tree preservation orders on noteworthy trees.

Responsible for providing maintenance of the popular South West Coast Path in East Devon and the beautiful East Devon Way.

Managing the AONB Team and Partnership and co-ordinating the delivery of the AONB Management Plan.

Co-ordinating the Great Trees of East Devon project - a three year project which will find and record the most important trees in the District.
