Meeting of the Scrutiny Committee; Wednesday 11 June 2008 at 6.30pm in the Council Chamber.
Members of the public are welcome to attend this meeting. A hearing loop system will be in operation in the Council Chamber.

Councillor Peter Halse, Portfolio Holder for Economy, will provide Members with a brief update on the recent introduction of the on-street parking enforcement which came into force on 5 May 2008. |

(Councillor Stuart Hughes, Portfolio Holder for Communications; Councillor Jill Elson, Portfolio Holder for Communities; Councillor Iain Chubb, Member Champion for Young People; Peter Jeffs, Corporate Director are invited to attend this item) Scrutiny Committee has expressed the wish for more public engagement, in particular with young people. This report covers work already undertaken by the Council to engage young people; and seeks to identify ways of engaging young people with the Council and Scrutiny work. |

Members are asked to consider the 2007/08 outturn position, with particular attention to the special items initially proposed as part of the 2008/09 draft budget and to “reserve” specific amounts for the future spending on rigid bins, economic development and planned maintenance |
