Planning Inspections Committee

What does this committee do?

It carries out site visits to help determine planning applications.  

If a site visit is necessary the Development Control Committee will refer the application to the Planning Inspections Committee.

Meetings

The Planning Inspections Committee meets every four weeks, in the next week following the Development Control Committee, usually on a Friday afternoon. Meetings are held in the Council Chamber, Knowle, Sidmouth and are open to the public.

Planning Inspections Committee is the one EDDC meeting at which members of the public may speak. However, specific regulations apply.  You can request information on how you may speak at a Planning Inspections Committee meeting here.
