For every new starter at the Council, an authority to recruit form is completed. This identifies whether the post is subject to a criminal records check. East Devon District Council follows the CRB code of practice and you can access the code by clicking here or by requesting a hard copy from Human Resources.
If the worker is supplied by an agency, this check will be undertaken by the agency if this has been agreed as part of the service level agreement. If not, EDDC will undertake this check. The service level agreements are accessible by all managers.
Additionally, if the contractor is directly employed by EDDC, we will undertake the check.
Work Experience
