Non-Profit Making Organisations
The Council can reduce, either partly or in full, the rates payable for non-domestic properties which are occupied by certain non-profit making organisations. This relief can be awarded to organisations whose main objects are:
- charitable, philanthropic or religious; or
- concerned with education, social welfare, science, literature or fine arts; or
- the occupier is a club concerned with recreation.
Types of organisations which could qualify:
Sports Clubs (70KB - 03 May 2005 - PDF Help) e.g. football, rugby, cricket, bowling etc
Other clubs or organisations (92KB - 12 May 2005 - PDF Help) such as grant assisted schools, Tourist Information village halls .
