Ottery St Mary Town Council have produced a Town Strategy as part of the Countryside Agency's Parish Plans initiative.
Given the steadily increasing population of Ottery St Mary and the imminent regeneration of the redundant factory site on the western approach to the town, the Town Council decided that there was a need to seek the views of residents and visitors concerning the future provision of housing, facilities and services in the town. Following a public consultation exercise and open day the document was submitted to the District Council who endorsed it on November 20th 2007 and will use it to inform decision making.
