New Community Supplementary Planning Guidance for East Devon has been produced and has recently been subject to a public consultation process. The consultation exercise was designed to ensure that the public, businesses, developers and interest groups had the chance to express their views on the New Community in East Devon and the securing of the highest quality of development through the planning process.
The guidance will take immediate effect and following the consultation process there may be changes to the guidance. Thereafter the guidance will be adopted as Interim Supplementary Planning Guidance to the emerging East Devon Local Plan. The guidance will be used alongside and to complement and inform on the application of Local Plan policy and Government Planning Guidance when determining planning applications. The guidance will also help advise applicants for planning permission, landowners and developers of their responsibilities in respect to the development of the new community.
