Trees and Development
Supplementary Planning Guidance
The District Council has produced Interim Supplementary Planning Guidance for trees and development. The guidance has been produced in order to clarify the District Council's requirements and ensure that development is carried out to a high standard, ensuring that only suitably located and constructed buildings are permitted in close proximity to trees. Where a development is proposed the guidance provides advice on appropriate designs, appropriate measures to protect and enhance the trees and explains the landscape and special nature conservation considerations.

The Guidance was adopted on 6th April 2005.
