East Devon District Council requires four copies of applications and associated documents submitted by post. Not three, as stated on the 1App forms. When submitting a combined application you will need to complete two sets of forms (For example, a Householder application for planning permission and Listed Building Consent for alterations to, extension, or demilition of a listed building), as these are treated as separate applications. |
From 6th April 2008 the Government is due to introduce a new Standard Planning Application Form, which will be known as 1APP. This form is a key part of specific proposals to streamline and simplify the arrangements for handling applications for planning permission and associated consents.
The 1APP will be rolled out across England under direct management from the Government in conjunction with the Planning Portal.
The 1APP will become the only official method of submitting a planning application from 6th April 2008,. Applications submitted on existing/old style forms after this mandatory deadline set by central government will not be accepted by the East Devon District Council.
The 1APP is part of Governments commitment to make the planning system simpler, faster and easier to use. As well as speeding up the planning process, the introduction of the form will also enable more planning services to be provided online and give applicants certainty about the information they need to provide.
