Print out
a list of what can be recycled (160KB - 23 August 2011 - PDF Help) and pin it up!
Paper, newspapers, magazines, Yellow pages, junk mail
- no need to remove windows.
Glass bottles and jars
- no lids.
Tins and cans - please rinse and ensure
there are no sharp edges.
Aerosols - empty.
Clothes/textiles-
clean and dry.
Aluminium Foil- clean and dry
please.
Used household batteries - in bags supplied
- please contact us should you require any more bags.
Plastic
bottles - Shampoo, bleach, drinks and milk bottles. If its bottle shaped we can take it.
Small and large food caddy
Line the small caddy with a compostable bag or newspaper and keep indoors, please
do not use plastic bags.
Once full, place the wrapped contents into the large food
caddy and leave out on collection day to be emptied.
Food Waste - comprising:
Meat
and fish - raw and cooked, including bones.
Uneaten food from plates and dishes.
All
dairy products, such as eggs and cheese.
Raw and cooked vegetables and fruit.
Breads,
cakes and pastries.
Rice, pasta and beans.
Tea bags and coffee grounds.
Note: Please do not put any liquids in your food caddy
Black Landfill bin
Place in your black bin anything that can not go in the recycling box or food caddy. We do not collect garden waste, rubble or items that could be considered harmful in the landfill bin. If unsure please call our Customer Service Team on 01395 571515 or email us at csc@eastdevon.gov.uk.
Note: We do not collect any waste that is not
contained in the EDDC landfill bin.
