Re-use of Rural Buildings

Farm Buildings

The District Council has produced Interim Supplementary Planning Guidance for the re-use of rural buildings. The guidance has been produced in order to clarify the District Council's requirements and ensure that development is carried out to a high standard, ensuring that only suitably located and constructed buildings are retained and converted. Where a building is considered worthy of retention the guidance provides advice on appropriate uses, appropriate measures to protect and enhance the building and explains the landscape and special nature conservation considerations.
