Funding for social enterprises The Triodos Opportunities Fund has grants of between £200,000 and £750,000 available to invest in social enterprises with proven business models that are looking to grow and scale up their operations. Funding for community enterprises The Adventure Capital Fund is an ambitious new style of funder for community enterprise. They offer a combination of financial investments and expert support to community enterprises that could make a real difference. For example, ‘Chopsticks’ was funded to enable people with disabilities to help elderly people remain in their own homes for as long as they wanted to. Start up your project UnLtd have launched a new award scheme in partnership with Bebo. The Be Cause Awards asks people to complete a robust plan for a social action or social enterprise project and can then enter it in a competition to win £1,000 to help get the project off the ground, with the winners voted for by the Bebo community.
