Welcome to East Devon

If you have recently moved to East Devon and are wondering where your local health centre is; when your refuse will be collected; or if you need to take your dog to the vet and don’t know where to go; or want to find our more about volunteering to help out at a local nature reserve, this online Welcome Site is for you.
By using the links within the site you can access lots of useful and interesting information which will help make your move to the district as easy as possible. Even if you’ve been here for some time, there may be things that you didn’t know and can now find out.
If you think we have missed anything then please get in touch and we’ll do our best to include it.
Dear Resident
Welcome to East Devon.
Whilst we have had lots of useful information on our website for some time, we have responded to feedback and have now made it easier to find. So we’ve introduced this new Welcome Site for people moving into the district. It brings together lots of facts and information that we hope you will find helpful in settling in to your new home.
East Devon is famous for its Jurassic coast and that, coupled with its unspoilt and beautiful countryside, makes it a wonderful place to live. East Devon has its own art gallery, theatres and a number of Leisure Centres. Your local councillor will be able to answer queries about your locality – his or her name can be found under the Your Council section of this site.
Do please let us know if there is other information that you feel should be included. We hope we’ve thought of most things but, as someone new to the area, you are better placed to tell us what you need.
Kind regards.

Chief Executive
