Shared Services with South Somerset

Under a five year arrangement, which began in March 2010, East Devon District Council is sharing a chief executive with South Somerset District Council.

This brings EDDC savings of £68,000 a year for the chief executive post.  There may be opportunities in the future to make further savings through shared working or other arrangements.
